The south of Dahab is always worth a day trip! There are five dive spots in total and, even when it is windy and the sea is rough, you can visit almost each one of them. The first spot is called Golden Blocks. We will drive you directly to the entry point by jeep. After assembling your equipment and doing the buddy check you can start without any further ado: Just walk a few steps over the pebbled beach and your dive immediately begins! There are two different routes you can choose to take. On the one hand you could dive within Golden Blocks and on the other there is the possibility to do a tour from Golden Blocks over to Moray Garden.
Swimming to the left, you will first pass a sandy area with some beautiful blocks until you reach an amazing coral garden. At around 22 meters depth you will find a huge and well-preserved sea fan coral situated in a sandy canyon that stretches from the beach into the deep. Our dive will lead us to a second canyon where we will start ascending slowly. With a bit of luck we will be able to see big eagle rays. We will also come by a sea grass bed – a place frequently used as feeding ground by turtles.
Our second option is the dive from Golden Blocks to Moray Garden. Here we are being led through a huge coral garden with lots of different types of hard corals. Keep your eyes open and you might even see moraines! Underwater photographers will have the chance to take plenty of phenomenal photos at this point. From pajama slugs or feather duster worms to numerous clown fishes boldly defending their families and homes - take your time to enjoy the incredible variety of the Red Sea!
