Enjoy the many colors of the desert during our tour through the White Canyon!
We will be driving through the fascinating landscape for approximately 40 minutes until we reach the Bedouins of the oasis Ain Hudra.
After mounting our camels, we will be riding to the entrance of the White Canyon for about another hour. The wonderful, spectacular entry can be managed by everyone, but will probably demand a bit of courage. Inside the Canyon, we will follow the path passing sand as white as snow and red rugged rocks formed by the wind. Let your mind drift and enjoy the quiet of the canyon. We will be hiking for one hour until we will get to see the oasis Ain Hudra again.
Ain Hudra had once been an important camp for caravans coming from the Holy Land, passing the Sinai and going to Saint Catherine.
After our camels and we ourselves have regained our strength we will begin our return journey via a pass with a rock showing ancient inscriptions. As soon as we arrive back at the Bedouin camp, we will be served a refreshing tea. The women of the tribe will offer their traditional handicraft: Trying them on and haggling is even more fun in the middle of the desert!
An amazing view that lives up to its name: Ain Hudra means “The green eye”.
We will be resting under date palms. This oasis is rich in water. A spring delivers the water directly into the big collecting tank which is used by the Bedouins to water their gardens.
Discover the magnificent rock formations and enjoy the amazing view over the beauty of the desert.
